Wow! Time flies so fast that I didn't notice that the anime of the new season has already arrived ^^; Some already aired, but haven't watched any of them in sub yet, so here are my initial impressions:
 
SPRING 2008 ANIME TOP 20

This was supposed to be up after the last day of April . . . but it was really impossible because I had a lot of episodes I needed to catch up on. Imagine, I was actually watching like 30 SHOWS!!! X_x Damn Spring Season . . . so many shows have caught my interest xD Hehe.

Top 30 Spring 2008 Anime Series





Oh my god . . . I watch so many series this season. This is madness xD This is the problem caused if your tastes vary so much xD 

April has come, which means there’ll be more new anime shows ^_^ and I once again made a post about my impressions of these upcoming series ^_^

Believe or not, I’m gonna be checking out ALMOST ALL of the series premiering this coming season ^^; I have ignored some excellent shows last Spring 2007 (specifically Gurren-Lagann and Toward the Terra) and I regret it A LOT xD

In this list will be my initial impressions before the series airs. Will be deciding if I’ll drop the series or not after watching an episode or two. If it was bearable to watch until episode 7, then it’s a promising series, ehhe.








Overall: I find it so amazing that most of the shows premiering this season are interesting xD Dominant genres for me are supernatural/fantasy, action/adventure, comedy (crack), and some romance xD Hehe. Some got ranked higher because of genre or art or character bias, but first impressions don’t last anyway. I’m very excited to watch these new shows ^_^ 

It's been a month since all those anime of this season had aired. I've checked out all those that somehow caught my curiosity xD I thought this season was a 100% boring series but it turned out that I was so wrong xD Some of its shows turned out to be really good ^_^ So here I go with my post-watching impressions: xD

 

So many to watch this year xD Haha. Here are the current ongoing anime that I've been watching:
 

Now all thise are just before the Spring season xD What if Spring season comes??? SO MANY GOOD SHOWS IN THAT SEASON xD I should limit the ones I watch now . .. because next season is gonna be OVERLOAD! haha xD

I have a habit of ranking my favorites xD But I can’t rank my overall favorite series yet because it’s so freakin’ hard to decide ^^; And I change my mind pretty easily, especially when I discover a new good series or get to watch more of a series I’m not done yet ^^; So I narrowed it down to anime that first aired only this year xD (so that excludes Code Geass, D. Gray-man, Death Note, Reborn! and other series that started in the previous year). I also didn’t include in the main list the Winter 2007 shows, because I didn’t watch any of them ^^; I also didn't include OVA's, since this is a series list after all. So it technically excludes OVAs xD Hehe. Besides, I only watched 4 OVA shows of this year ^^;

The following anime are the ones which I’ve finished watching the whole series or had seen at least 5 episodes:


1. Baccano! (Summer) 
So rare to find an anime as AWESOME and as BRILLIANT as this! So sad that many people ignored it while it was still airing, but highly regretted it after they’ve marathon the whole series xD They should have realized the series’ greatness earlier xD Hehe. Watch out for the gore though, for people who can’t tolerate such ^^; But Baccano’s got one of the most amazing stories and characters! It also overflows in uniqueness! The staff was able to cover so many events, yet for a short number of episodes, they were executed really well! And not to mention that they didn’t even lack in character development!! It’s AMAZING in everything!!! xD This is definitely the BEST anime of the year!

2. Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann (Spring)
One of the most entertaining crack mecha anime I’ve ever seen! Haha! There’s so many ridiculous stuff here, which is alright, because THEY’RE THERE ON PURPOSE! Hehe! If you analyze its story and characters deeper, it’s certainly something genius! It seems like a shounen mecha series, but it wins in many many aspects (oh the soundtrack alone already proves it xD wahehe) And besides, so many stuff here are just so damn awesome! Don’t mind the little ecchi fanservice . . the characters and the story make this show ROCK!
 
3. Toward the Terra (Spring)
Took me a while to get used to the retro art style ^^; but for a classic it’s so damn FANTASTIC! Seriously, it’s got one of the most inspiring stories I’ve ever known. Every episode is freakin’ exciting! Characters here are amazing too! It surprises me that I suddenly find myself liking characters which annoy me at first xD Not to mention the CG quality. Some shows with CG stuff had bad effects, but in this one they’re great! This series is definitely EPIC xD

My top three are of course my top recommendations! xD They are simply the best three of this year! Mwahaha xD And no, I’m not gonna lj-cut them xD They deserve recognition because they’re so DAM AWESOME xD I totally love these three xD Very obsessed with them too xD Kyaaa!!! People MUST watch them xD Hehe.


While here are the shows that just aired this year that I have seen only less than 5 episodes of ^^;

Now that I think about it, there sure were loads of series that I’ve watched this year xD My fandom database keeps on increasing xD Hehe. Anywayz, there had been a lot of fantastic shows this year ^_^ Looking forward to see what’s up on next year, because I’ve heard there are a lot of promising ones that will air on that year as well ^_^

Before the year ends, I thought of having a recap of my fandom this year xD These eerr . . .”Best” awards are based on my personal opinions xD Most are ranked in top 5, but to those I have so many likes, I make it reach up to top 10 xD while to those I don’t have much likes get limited to 3 ^^; And for each rank spot as much as possible I only choose one character/pair/whatsoever in one series for each category. No repetition of series within each category either. Just to increase the number of possible entries xD Hehe. 

Also, since only the series that aired this year are included, shows like Code Geass, D. Gray-man, Death Note, and Reborn! won't be included here ^^; Besides, I need to narrow down the scope x_x Too many choices will drive me crazy xD Hehe. Alright, here goes: 

















 
2007 gave me loads of fandom xD I think 2008 will be a promising one as well =3

Uuumm . . .my previous entry is supposed to be my last entry for the night but . . . for some reason I felt like talking about the anime shows on the upcoming season ^^; After this, I'll just e-mail something for momz then going to sleep -_-

Shows of Winter 2008 is not as great as Fall or Summer of this year. Much more on Spring 2007, where most of this year's fantastic shows come from xD Will be making a post of my top favorite series of this year soon xD But for now . . . 

Well, I've checked out the shows that will be aired on the upcoming season. And my ranking based on first impressions:


Note: I excluded the super kiddie or super weird shows x_x

Overall Impression: *yawn* not an exciting season. I didn't even think of putting preview photos like what I did in the previous seasons. There's not one series in the list that made me super interested/curious/excited like before (like with Spring there's Romeo x Juliet, with Fall there's Gundam 00, and with Summer there's BACCANO! xD). The first two on this list are exceptions since they're sequels of the good shows of this year. The beginning of 2008 is a boring one. The Spring season of 2008 is the real promising one (with Code Geass 2, KKM 3, omg!!!! xD)
 

It's been more than a month since I started watching the anime of the fall season xD My impressions sure have changed after watching an episode(s) . xD I actually checked out almost all the anime I thought of considering last time xD Well, some of them turned out nice, but there are also ones which became a disappointment -_- Well, no series among these got me hooked as much as I had on Baccano! But they had also been pretty addicting xD Hehe






There are many other series under the Fall season but I only included these 20 which I thought of considering before all these had started airing xD Ehehe.

My impressions will most likely changed once I've finished watching all episodes or start seeing good latter epsiodes xD But well, that's what I think for now xD Hehe.

The Winter season anime list will be coming soon. I'll be checking them out once there's a confirmed list xD Hehe

I've been listening to nothing but Japanese music lately *_* (and fine, a few old Korean and American ones). The opening and ending themes of the latest anime are pretty interesting, both in song and visual. Not all of course, that's why I've got my own top favorites xD Hehe. Some are only nice to watch, while some that are only nice to hear, but there are ones which are fun to both watch and hear xD Hehe.

Note: The only OP's and ED's I know are the ones which I have thought of considering to watch form the Fall 2007 anime list ^^; (there's so freakin' many of them. I can't check them all out ^^;). Some I may miss some good ones but . . .oh well xD 


Up next would either be my favorite characters for the season or my top series for the season xD Hehe

Off-topic: So weird. Last time I thought I'll have more free time, but I later became so busy and problematic. Then next I expected myself to be more busy, but now I suddenly found the time to post like normal x_X What the?! x_x . . . .whatever ^^;

As expected, my impressions from before watching the series has changed after watching an episode ^^; But some remained the same though xD
