This was supposed to be up after the last day of April . . . but it was really impossible because I had a lot of episodes I needed to catch up on. Imagine, I was actually watching like 30 SHOWS!!! X_x Damn Spring Season . . . so many shows have caught my interest xD Hehe.

Top 30 Spring 2008 Anime SeriesTOP PRIORITY WATCH LIST:
1. Soul Eater (previously number 4)
I loved the manga and the anime totally exceeded my expectations! Great animation, excellent music, talented cast, awesome fight choreographies. The characters are entertaining and the series just rocks overall! It sounds like your typical shounen anime but its got style and great sense of CRACK! I’m totally obsessed with this xD
2. Nabari no Ou (previously 5)
I find this a really unique ninja series. There are some stuff it changed from the manga: some weren’t good, but some were great! I don’t find the BGM here that fantastic, but the fight choreography’s brilliant! I also salute to its nice set of characters. I’m so addicted to this xD
3. Code Geass R2 (previously number 1)
The first season was marvelous, and the second season is even better. Even if I’m so spoiled, Code Geass doesn’t fail to surprise and amaze me. It’s no wonder that Code Geass gets to be one of the most popular series this year!
4. Kyou Kara Maou Season 3 (previously 2)
I am not really fond of series with BL undertones but KKM had changed me. I fell in love with its crack story and lovable characters. The first two seasons were a fun watch, and the third season hasn’t lost its magic. What’s better is that we have character development this time, and it’s only in series like these where you find fillers that aren’t brain-wrecking. Long live the Maou! xD Haha!
5. xxxHolic – Kei (previously number 3)
Most otakus are definitely familiar with CLAMP, for many of CLAMP’s works are so damn popular. But I believe xxxHolic is one of their best series, and its second season is getting better. Watanuki gets a lot of development this time, so things are more and more interesting and exciting!
SECOND PRIORITY WATCH LIST:
6. Amatsuki (previously 12)
From a high-tech Japan to an old Japan setting. Interesting. And this series gets more and more interesting in each episode. Its characters are great as well (except for a few >_>) and it’s fun to watch! And you know I’m a sucker for historical and spiritual stuff xD And oh, things here are more entertaining with Bonten and company xD Hehe.
7. Kyouran Kazoku Nikki (previously 25)
I hate series that make no sense; but if it’s done on purpose, that’s a different story xD Oh whoa! This series has loads of crazy and absurd stuff. WTF to a family consisting of animals and abnormal humans (except for the father)! But this series had entertained me a lot. And its family talks and dramas sure had touched my heart. Don’t underestimate crack shows! xD
8. Himitsu (previously number 6)
It’s a philosophical series that involves crime and psychiatry stuff. How can I resist? xD It’s sad that the anime-original cases were pretty pathetic. The cases in the manga were hell more interesting. The animation studio should have followed the manga more. However, I think the changes in the story and character development were well done in the anime. This is such a promising series! Sadly, it’s underrated because it doesn’t have much of the most wanted bihies -_-
9. Kurenai (previously 13)
I feared that this might be a loli show but it turned out to be a really dark and mysterious series. I thought I’ll be disgusted with the little girl but I found myself sympathizing her instead. This show is actually serious but it sure had some amusing stuff that made my stomach hurt from laughing. Wow! I’m very impressed with this.
10. Vampire Knight (previously 8)
The series added an interesting element in a typical shoujo series: horror. I love vampires and it makes me happy that the vampires in this series are great characters. The anime turned out to be better than expected. Alright! I’m still sick on the too much attention on Yuuki though x_x Bu it’s still doing good ^_^
THIRD-PRIORITY WATCH LIST:
11. Niijin Mensou Musume (previously 10)
I love phantom thieves! And this series’ phantom thief is admirable. This series had amazed me alright. And there had been moments that touched my heart as well. I hope this series will continue to impress me as it already has.
12. Monochrome Factor (previously 14)
I was so afraid to watch this at first because it added BL stuff that weren’t even in the manga! It improved the manga’s story pacing a bit though, but still sucks! Its action scenes aren’t that terrific either! But what’s keeping me watch this? THE COMEDY! Oh my god I am so sold to its crack! xD It may be corny to other people but it’s freakin’ entertaining to me! xD Its characters are interesting as well. Not to mention the voice cast! They are just so brilliant! O I love this xD
13. Library Wars (previously 9)
A military organization protecting media? That’s something new to me ^_^ That prince charming part was sweet, and I love the interaction between the characters. Really lively xD And have I mentioned that I like military stuff especially with some mix of romance and comedy? xD hehe. I’m liking this ^_^
14. Wagaya no Oinari-sama (previously 22)
At first I thought this was just a Spice and Wolf wannabe with a dull plot, but I was so wrong xD Though the plot is indeed . . .dull ^^; . . but its main character’s terrific! Other main characters were nice as well and its comedy really wins me xD Haha!
15. The Tower of Drauga (previously 19)
Its first episode was EPIC! It made fun of a lot of clichés and those parodies were FANTASTIC! However, the real story is your typical RPG series. It wasn’t as bad as I expected though. And it added some brotherly love? I’m in xD
16. Allison and Lilia (previously 11)
Seeing 1940 planes action stuff is cool ya know xD And there’s lots from this series xD The show and art is simple but it has a nice story. The second half is more interesting though, but this first half is already doing good. (this will rank higher once Treize appears! xD Him and his gf are the more fascinating duo!)
17. Special A (previously 7)
The anime was a disappointment. It’s not bad as in in eyesore level . . . but still, a disappointment. The manga is hell better. The only thing that makes the anime shining are the parts it based on the manga and Jun Fukuyama’s voice >_>
18. RD Senshou (previously number 18)
One of the most unique series this season! I thought this was gonna bore me to hell but every episode had been really interesting. It has a nice concept, looking forward to watch more of this xD
BOREDOM-KILLER WATCH LIST:
19. Crystal Blaze (previously number 17)
A detective series . . . how could I resist a detective series? xD And add with supernatural stuff? I’m so in! xD It’s been interesting so far . . . but it had bored me at times and one character there is really getting on my nerves. I can’t believe I’ve found a character that I’d hate more than Miaka and Sakura.
20. Blassreiter (previously 21)
The story’s unique and interesting. There’s cool stuff in this series. Most of the characters did not appeal me, but I’m glad it wasn’t as bad as I expected it to be.
21. Itazura na Kiss (previously 15)
The plot’s honestly incredibly LAME, the characters are so-so, and I find the art ugly. But for some reason it had amused me somehow and got me interested on what’s going to happen next. Not really a bad shoujo anime.
22. Macross Frontier (previously 26)
This is your usual mecha series where the hero is a total-loser/amateur at first but will eventually be doing something fascinating. The latter part hasn’t happened yet, but I can sense it -_-. I find a lot of nonsense in this series, and only several characters had caught my interest. But ya know what’s totally impressive with this series? THE CG!!!! IT’S WOOOOOOOW!!!! TOTALLY AMAZING!!!! I only watch mecha fights between my fave mecha/pilots, but Macross F is a different issue. I get to watch even the unimportant fights because the animation is just THAT GOOD *_*
23. Neo Angelique Abyss (previously 27)
Yes, it’s your usual leading-lady-with-mysterious-power-yet-totally-stupid-that-she-needs-to-be-protected-by-a-bunch-of-bishies thing . . . and I’m so sick of that stuff x_x The story’s seriously cliché and the action scenes were pathetic. But some of its little comedy stuff amused me, and bishies . . . are bishies . . .I love bishies *_*
24. Yu-Gi-Oh 5D (not in previous list)
This is your usual Yu-Gi-Oh but there are duels in motorbikes. I’ve seen so many card battles, and seeing the same thing is starting to sicken me x_x The duels in the first three episodes drove me crazy. . . in a negative sense. If the leading character is actually good, why the same almost-zero-lifepoints-yet-gets-to-win-over-an-enemy-with-many-many-lifepoints-in-the-end-through-a-miracle strategy? Can’t he just win faster over small fries? X_x The story and the characters for me are so-so. I would prefer the original YGO series over this anytime. But what I find cool in this episode are the main protagonist’s hacking abilities and all those motorbike scenes! Honestly, I think this will be better as a motorbike sports anime rather than a card duel one ^^;
25. Kaiba (previously 23)
I like its uniqueness but I also find it VERY disturbing because it contains mature stuff yet it’s art style is so kiddie!!! IT BOTHERS ME x_x I can understand that it aims for uniqueness but . . . what if children mistake it for a kiddie show??? I’M WORRIED x_x
DROPPED FROM WATCH LIST:
26. Masked Maid Guy (previously 24)
I really like the maid guy idea. Really amused me xD It has the ecchi stuff that I hate though, but surprisingly some of its perverted jokes are actually amusing. And I love the female maid. She’s so evil; she rocks! However, there’re too many perverted stuff that cracks my brain. And the story and characters didn’t make up for it. So nah.
27. Penguin Musume Heart (not in previous list)
I am amused with the cosplay freak girl! xD And its comedy is somewhat similar to Lucky Star, except that it had perverted fanservice ^^; And I don’t like it. But I admit that this has entertained me, but no, I can’t watch more nonsense >_>
28. Zettai Karen Children (previously 20)
It’s somewhat like the Powerpuff Girls, so that got me interested, except that they’re naughty to their guardian while the PPG are darlings to theirs. I tried the manga, but after a few pages I can’t go on anymore x_x I watched the first episode. The gay enemy had amused me, but the other stuff were dull to me x_x I can’t watch more. And I find it disturbing that the tomboy likes women with big breasts yet she has some crush on her guardian x_X Wha?!
29. To Love Ru (previously 16)
The story’s lame but with nice crack, it can be good, but all I see are boobs, and boobs, and more boobs! If fanservice will outnumber the decent stuff, I can’t bear to see more of this x_x
30. Golgo 13 (not in previous list)
Main character’s badass and skilled, yes, but overall it bored me to hell. And if every episode it’s gonna be one victim a day and the hero shows off his sniper skills and have sex and get loads of cash . . . NAAAH!!!
Oh my god . . . I watch so many series this season. This is madness xD This is the problem caused if your tastes vary so much xD
Wow, you're following so many series XDDD
